About

I'm Dajana Kovac - a professional singing teacher, soprano, German coach, and choral conductor with over 20 years of experience helping singers grow in skill, confidence, and enjoyment.
I teach privately and at Badminton School in Bristol, working with singers of all ages across classical and musical theatre repertoire. Alongside my teaching, I run singing workshops and occasionally work as a choral conductor, and a German language coach for soloists and ensembles (which included projects with the BBC National Chorus of Wales and the Three Choirs Festival). As a performer, I have sung as a soloist and ensemble member in Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK. I am also co-founder of the touring chamber opera company Tessitoura, created to bring the joy and excitement of opera to wider audiences through intimate and unique performances.
I hold a Bachelor of Music (BMus) in Classical Vocal Performance from ArtEZ Conservatoire in the Netherlands. My teaching is grounded in healthy, stylistically informed vocal technique, balanced with curiosity, flexibility, and a sense of fun - whether preparing for exams, auditions, performances, or singing purely for enjoyment.
Opera, musical theatre, ensemble work, conducting, community projects - my musical life has been varied. But at the heart of it all is something simple: I love working with singers. Teaching is where my experience, curiosity, and love of music and language come together most fully.
