Tessitoura is a new company touring in the Bristol area and the success of this first production bodes well for the future. The company is made up of young singers led by Mrs Charlotte Monk, well known for her splendid productions of Onegin and The Pearl Fishers for Bristol Opera. She has done equally well with this production, and in particular the casting was superb. Guy Withers as Tamino looked right and sang well. The Queen of the Night (Zoe Bartlett) shone out as she should. Her costume, like the others, was entirely right... Valerie Kingman
